GREENHENGE

 

GREENHENGE is a project that was re-purposing of an old Gasometer and converting it into a new urban vertical farm complex. It is named ‘GREENHENGE’ because it involves creating a urban ‘green’ farm in-the-round. But this also nicely ties in with its location in Greenwich. The project needed branding, something that would convey the theme of the project.

Combining the imagery of an urban skyline and nature whilst including the gasometer silhouette was my first step toward creating the branding after exploring various options, I found that this made the logo to complex.

The Final brand depicts a gasometer flowering from some leaves, this provokes thoughts of growth, rebirth, and new starts. With the project being aimed at regeneration this tied both the structure and the farming together nicely.
